We are indeed talking about the one and only Akshay Kumar (better known as the 'AK-47' of Bollywood), who has been voted (read 'declared') as the "Sexiest Man Alive" - for the year 2008, by the topnotch magazine 'People', in their double issue bonanza!
This issue is a must have as it features Akshay Kumar in an all-exclusive photo shoot in Vicenza, Italy! The magazine reasons the coronation of Akki by stating that he is one person who has been equally successful, both on and off screen! Reasons cited include his string of box-office hits in 2008 such as Welcome, Singh Is Kinng, his mega successful stint on TV as the host of 'Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi' and a scorching new ad campaign for the denim major: Levi's.
The mag also adds that off screen, Akshay is a grounded family man, devoted to his wife and son and has a sense of humour. In an exclusive interview, Akki, who credits his 'Punjabi eyes' for his effortless sex appeal, says, "Just for the record, I'm not what you call good-looking. Our industry just happens to have excellent directors of photography. That's all."
