Mumbai, April 9 -- In a major relief to Salman Khan, a paraplegic woman withdrew her petition seeking action against the actor after the Bombay High Court refused to direct any action against him.

Phool Banoo Bakshi Ilahi had alleged that Khan and the producer of Veer, Vijay Gilani, had misused her photographs for the film's publicity.

"Where is the defamation in this?" asked Justice DB Bhosale.

Ilahi had approached the HC after her photograph with Khan was printed in a local tabloid with an article claiming that the actor had donated Rs 1 lakh for her treatment. "The article was not written by Salman Khan. You had gone on your own to meet him, nobody had asked you to go," said Justice AR Joshi. Ilahi withdrew the petition after the HC said she could file a private complaint and seek relief against the actor and producer. Ilahi, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, regularly comes to Mumbai for treatment and avail government aid. A fan of Khan, she met him at a studio in Goregaon where he was shooting for Veer. Ilahi claimed Khan asked her to get a photograph clicked with him and promised to send her a copy to Uttar Pradesh. She said she was shocked to see the photograph in a tabloid.
