New Delhi, June 12 -- Actor Ajay Devgn's look in his forthcoming film Once Upon a Time in Mumbai got finalized after initially rejecting 37 costumes, costing a total of Rs 10 lakh.

Now, the actor will be sporting white throughout the film (above). His look is inspired from Amitabh Bachchan's look in Deewaar.

"Yes, we scrapped many of Ajay's earlier costumes. We had initially decided to dress him like Amitji in Trishul, so all the costumes were either polo necks or blazers and jackets.

But I happened to see Deewaar again, and I loved Amitji's all-white look when he goes for his father's funeral in the film. I realised that the look would work for Ajay, too, as he looks good in white," said director Milan Luthria.

Devgn plays the role of a don in the film, based on the retro era of 70s.
