Mumbai, July 4 -- Salaam my seekh kebabs! How goes the Sunday subah with you? Moi is not exactly gung--ho, since I woke up feeling a little under the weather. Anyway, let me not digress any more about the mausam woes and get straight to some really chatpati khabar from glamour town, before I can disappear under my blanket for the rest of the day.
For starters, a birdy from Bandra has just dropped in to tell me that Sushmita Sen wants to get even more serious about her career now. So much so, that she now wants to work with a seriously thorough professional like Aamir Khan. Huh? I'm astounded that suddenly she is getting gambhir about her career, after all the news she has been making for her personal zindagi.
Khair, mujhe kya? Apparently, Sush's wish has reached Khan's ears too. But unfortunately for her, he's not impressed with her filmography, informs my birdy... adding that the difference in their heights is also a major obstacle for them to pair up on screen. And most importantly, Khan is too pre--occupied with his productions, Peepli Live, Dhobi Ghat and Delhi Belly, to even think of doing another movie until next February.
Birdy claims to be ignorant about Sush's last movie even after I tell her that Dulha Mil Gaya was her last release early this year, and it doesn't need one to be Einstein to know that it flopped big time. And not to forget, Sen's dream project, the biopic on Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, which is not finding any backers.
Suna hai, even Lalit Modi isn't willing to commit until he gets out of the IPL Gate that has been hounding him since a few months now. Tsk tsk.
