New Delhi, Oct. 27 -- Actor Shreyas Talpade, best known for his comic timing, is thrilled to have performed stunts in his upcoming film, Golmaal 3. His opening scene in the film sees him standing atop a giant wheel, 70 feet above the ground.
Says the actor, "Who can stop Rohit (director Rohit Shetty)? He's known for his action scenes - whether it is dangling cars or taking people's careers high along with it."
Talpade admits he was nervous when the director told him that to stand on the edge of the giant wheel for his opening shot.
However, Shetty had also set up a plank as a safety measure. "When you're at that height, your legs tend to shake; you feel dizzy. So, I asked Rohit to give me some time to get used to the height. Although we had all the precautionary measures in place, when you lose balance, you lose it - irrespective of whether you're hanging by a harness," says the actor. But, Talpade knew he would have to perform the shot sooner or later. So, he put his nerves aside and got ready for the shot.
The director, however, had another surprise for the actor. The camera, fixed on the crane, zoomed in for a close-up, making Talpade nervous. "It was a little disorienting, but to perform that shot in one take is magical," he says. Does his wife, Dipti, ask him to be extra cautious while shooting such scenes? "She's seen me getting hurt during my theatre days. She says that I must always make sure that the safety measures are in place," says Talpade.
