Bollywood's 'enfant terrible' Salman Khan, who managed to irk national sensibilities with his delusional 26/11 comment, may have to quit micro-blogging site Twitter.
"Looks like I mite hv to get off twitter. Don't want to but wat to do? I think I messed up,so sorry guys sorry bolne mein koi sharam nahi (sic)," Salman posted on his Twitter page.
Salman also said, "I did not mean to hurt anyone's sentiments. If I have than I am really really sorry."
In an interview to a Pakistani channel, Salman had said that there was much brouhaha about the 26/11 attacks primarily because the elite were hit. A royal foot in the mouth situation we would say!
Salman KhanImmediately after the interview went on air, Salman tweeted: "Next time mein apnne sub interview sub khud bhi record karoonga, kya bolte ho? Takeh yeh sub controversies nahi ho (sic),"
While some are calling his comment 'a mere moment of digression', the nationwide sentiments speak otherwise.
Apologising on behalf of his son, Salim Khan said, "He shouldn't have said that. His choice of words was wrong but his intention was not. His comments should not be blown out of proportion."
Brother Arbaaz Khan also came to Salman's rescue and urged people to forgive him.
Seems like Salman completely forgot about the 55 innocent lives that were taken at the CST station. Alarmingly, he also stated that the baton of responsibility should be shouldered by Indian security forces and Pakistan alone should not be blamed for the attacks!
