Mumbai, May 22 -- Looking at Sabyasachi's schedule will even make Mukesh Ambani feel like an under-achiever. The multi-tasking designer is working on a dozen projects at the same time and has atleast twice that number up his sleeve.

Already the designer behind the wardrobe for Mani Ratnam's film, Raavan, Sabyasachi is also heading to Paris soon to style Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for a magazine's fashion shoot.

Good equation

While he won't reveal the magazine's name, he does admit that he hasn't started designing the garments yet. "I think after working on two films together, we have developed a great equation. But I still need to start thinking about what I'll make her wear," he laughs.

His most recent task was making sure that the leading lady rocked the Cannes red carpet when she finally decided to don a 'desi' avatar. "She wanted to wear something Indian so we settled on a sari in that old honey-gold colour. I advised her to wear her hair parted down the center and pair that with minimal jewellery."

Rai Bachchan's look was appreciated worldwide and Sabyasachi explains it saying, "I think she took people by surprise. At Cannes, she's always in her gowns with bouffant hair. I made her wear something, which was very ornate and Indian with a strong sense of restraint. And people appreciated it."

Though he admits that he would have liked to push her even further. "If it were up to me, I would have made her wear pink glasses with burgundy lips and burgundy flowers in her hair, like a gothic Frida Kahlo."

Ask him if he manages to pack so much into his schedule and he laughs, "I can't take more than six days of holiday in a year. I don't even have a diary, but I work in an organised chaos. And my personal assistant is always threatening to quit."
