Bollywood has come together to raise money for charity. This time it is Amitabh Bachchan who is standing for the cause. Big B is auctioning off a lunch date with him to raise funds for charity. His fan frenzy has shown tremendous results as the bid has risen to Rs 6 lakhs within hours of its announcement.
The bidding started at Rs 1001 yesterday in an online market ebay and now it has touched the whooping amount of 6 lakhs. Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are also involved in the bidding activity. A breakfast with the Bollywood's Khiladi is currently amounting to Rs 4,52,000.
The person who wins the bid with get to meet and spend some time with Amitabh Bachchan. Mr. Bachchan will answer all the questions about him in the date. The person will be allow to click pictures with Big B and get a personal autograph from him.
The actor will mark the 'Joy of Giving' week in collaboration with eBay, with his lunch date. The money collected from this bidding will go to a charitable organisation which will be decided by Mr. Bachchan himself.
On the Joy of Giving week Bangalore based NGO CMCA (Children's Movement for Civic Awareness) is also auctioning a lunch date with actress Raveena Tondon.
