Mumbai, March 17 -- It's common for an actor to ask for a duplicate to do his stunts if he's injured. However, John Abraham didn't let injury prevent him from doing his own action sequences for his forthcoming film, Force, helmed by Nishikant Kamath.

Despite the hard fall he took while jumping from one train to another recently, the actor turned cliffhanger for a climax sequence in Malshej Ghat a couple of days ago.

The sequence required John to climb the rocky mountain for a fight sequence on the top. But the black rocks, which form a major portion of the hilly terrain, absorb heat during the day, making it difficult to climb. With a harness to help him, Abraham had to place his hands and bare feet on the hot rocky surface, which resulted in blisters despite him wrapping his hands and feet in cold wet clothes after every shot.

Producer Vipul Shah says they tried to schedule the shoots either early in the morning or late evening, but it didn't work out because they required a specific kind of light. He adds that Abraham insisted on doing all the scenes himself. "He didn't make a fuss even when he had to hang from the harness. Shooting such scenes can be quite a nightmare."

Shah reiterates that this was also the toughest shoot of his career. "It's easier with a body double rather than when the actor does stunts himself," he concluded.
