New Delhi, Aug. 16 -- With a slew of upcoming releases, actor Jimmy Sheirgill is a busy man. He is, however, not satisfied with his current role, and has now decided to turn producer. The actor says he got the idea after his Punjabi film Mel Kara De Rabba not only did well in India, but also broke records in Australia and Canada.
"I had asked the producer to release 15 prints in Australia, but he didn't. And later when we got to know that thousands of people were driving miles to come back and watch the film, he said, 'I wish I had released 15 prints'."
Jimmy, who is exploring number of genres like comedy, thriller and action with his upcoming releases Game, Tanu Weds Manu, Flat and Johnny Mastana, says his success in Punjabi films won't take him away from Bollywood.
"My growth here has been slow, but steady. I've worked with different filmmakers and will continue experimenting and giving good performances," he says.
