MUMBAI, Oct. 16 -- In a statement that can hardly qualify as modest, Aakrosh actor Bipasha Basu has said that it is she who made 'being sexy' a trend in Bollywood - a trend that many of her female contemporaries followed.
"When I entered the film industry, I was called the 'unconventional one'.
I was the one who showed that being sexy was fine, and other actors eventually followed the trend."
She adds quickly, "The dusky complexion also became a hit, thanks to me. I have carved a niche for myself. People now take me seriously."
