Mumbai, July 31 -- Apart from his daughter Rhea Kapoor's debut production, Aisha, actor-producer Anil Kapoor, 50, has a lot in his kitty. When asked what has kept him going in the industry for over three decades, the 'jhakaas' actor says, "I love acting. I was lucky that I got the kind of work I did.
I'm still offered some stunning roles and that's exciting for me at this stage in my career."
Kapoor, whose upcoming home production Aisha releases on August 6, describes the film as "young and fresh". "Abhay and Sonam make a great pair on screen. As a producer, both Rhea and I are extremely pleased with the way the film has shaped up. I feel that at most, this film will help my daughters learn," he asserts.
Quiz daddy about son Harshvardhan gearing up to step into Bollywood and Kapoor gushes, "He is very young and is studying in Los Angeles right now. Though he wants to write and direct a film, we'll have to wait and watch."
And does younger daughter Rhea's entry into production mean that he will have more home productions? "Now, I can think of producing a couple of films every year. Earlier, I produced films instinctively, but now all the productions that we will undertake will be original concepts. And, unlike before, I will be very cautious with the budgets," Kapoor replies.
Coming up
The actor is extremely pleased with his show 24 and the international assignments coming his way. "24 is a cult show. There are few things in the pipe-line with Sophia Loren's son and Ben Stiller too but nothing has been finalised yet." On the home turf, Kapoor will be seen in No Problem by Anees Bazmee and a string of sequels, Race 2, No Entry 2 and even Mr India 2.
