Trust B-Town stars to join the common Mumbaiite in one of the biggest marathons of the world, the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2010. The event saw a mass of humanity turn up, each person supporting a different cause and spirit.

Akshay Kumar was leading from the front, cheering runners and goading them on.

Joining the Khiladi were Tina Ambani, Anjana Sukhani and onscreen baddie Gulshan Grover.

Not to be left behind was hunk John Abraham, who's a regular at the marathon every year.

Rahul Bose started things up for the marathon in the wee hours of the morning, giving an early start to the Full Marathon, amidst the entire media glare.

The marathon saw biggies from Bollywood and the corporate world hobnobbing together. Vidya Balan, surrounded by fans and enthusiastic runners, was seen talking to Anand Mahindra who also makes it a point to be at the marathon every year.

The marathon wasn't a goody-goody affair either. Some celebs, like the Chance Pe Dance star Genelia D'Souza ran alone on the Dream Marathon, with only the paparazzi keeping her company.

This year's marathon saw a number of new B-Town entries: Riteish Deshmukh, who made a short appearance, Sophie Choudry, Konkana Sen Sharma and Tara Sharma.

But they all ran with gusto and how! Gul Panag, who was practicing for months for the marathon, was seen blithely huffing and puffing it out on the streets of Mumbai.

All in all, an event where the celebs pulled up their socks to take a run for a good cause.
