Morning Airing
From the looks of it, you'd feel that MORNING WALK is about chief citizens/septuagenarians, but administrator Arup Dutta crams the blur with so abounding sub-plots that the blur loses focus. It's like starting at Churchgate, but instead of branch appear Virar, you end up at Thane.
Okay, let me explain. Had the administrator backward loyal to one adventure [the chief citizens' affair for anniversary other], it would've been an affecting experience. But the adventure changes apparatus appealing often. In the beginning, you feel that it's a bahu [Divya Dutta] against father-in-law [Anupam Kher] saga. Later, the adolescent brace [Shayan Munshi, Nargis] alpha singing songs and the focus accouterment to the adulation story. Appear the end, it's aback to the chief citizens and the aberration in their lives.
The plight of the chief citizens was beautifully depicted in BAGHBAN, but that was about a affiliated couple. Here' they aren't. And the administrator could've explored this angle to the fullest. Sadly, he doesn't!
To cut a continued adventure short, this 'Walk' is just not refreshing!
One morning airing in Joymohan's [Anupam Kher] activity changes it all. After adversity a heart-attack one morning, on his birthday, Joymohan realizes that he needs to absorb added time with his ancestors -- son [Rajit Kapoor], daughter-in-law [Divya Dutta] and grand-daughter [Avika Gor].
It is during his 'Morning Walk' that his activity changes forever. He meets his once-upon-a-time-student and acquaintance Neelima [Sharmila Tagore], now a mother of two, who carries with her a aberrant but surreal truth.
Neelima's ablaze and admirable babe Anjali [Nargis] dreams of advancing her doctorate from the U.S. and is encouraged by her adoring mother and admirer Ajay [Shayan Munshi], an accessible singer, who will go to any lengths to put a smile on her face. It's a account of two families who are so altered from one another, yet affiliated through a appropriate bond.
The botheration is, the amount of exceptionable advance in the blur rob the blur of the seriousness. Sure, there're absorbing moments, but they're few and far between. The administrator is bedridden by a poor script, with the end searching abridged and confusing. Jeet Ganguli's music is abatement and simple on the ears.
Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore accommodate address to their corresponding roles. Rajit Kapoor looks absolute for his part. Divya Dutta does well, but why did the administrator accomplish her over-react appear the end? Nargis doesn't deliver. Shayan Munshi shows a apparent advance over his antecedent work. Avika Gor gets no scope.
On the whole, MORNING WALK is a addled and black experience.
